Abel guides Kenya in skittling Qatar

Kenya piled on Qatar's misery in the ongoing Kenya Women's T20 tournament, winning by a resounding 9 wickets and condemning them to their third straight loss at the Nairobi Gymkhana.

Skipper Queentor Abel spun the opponents for a measly 3/4, inclusive of two maidens, ensuring that only Aysha (12) managed double figures as they held on for 17.2 overs. Melvin Khagoitsa put on another sterling bowling performance with 3/13 off four overs while Flavia Odhiambo bagged 2/10 from her four overs, inclusive of one maiden.

Abel smacked three boundaries to remain unbeaten on 21 off 18 balls as Kenya cruised to victory inside the powerplay, only losing Mary Mwangi (11) in the process by way of Sabeeja Panayan at the close of the fourth over.

Kenya face Qatar again on Saturday afternoon after taking a break from the tournament.
